By the divine grace of Guru-kripa, Chi. Anupam Kher, grandson of P.P. Janardan Swami Kher, received Guru-diksha and the sacred Guru-mantra from his revered grandfather at a very young age. These early blessings laid the foundation of his spiritual journey and continue to guide him through life.
Professionally, Anupam is an Electrical Engineer and Oil & Gas professional with over 16 years of industry experience and is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. His wife, Supriya Kher, is a Lawyer, Music Teacher, and Certified Music Therapist. Together, they are blessed with two daughters, Ovie Kher (11) and Devika Kher (4), who are currently residing with Supriya in Vadodara, Gujarat.
As a family, they strive to live by the teachings of P.P. Janardan Swami Kher, nurturing a home rooted in simplicity, righteousness, compassion, and respect. They believe in living honestly, never causing harm to others, and always honouring parents and elders. Even while living across different countries, they remain committed to carrying forward his timeless values so that his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
Anupam fondly remembers how P.P. Janardan Swami Kher would travel tirelessly from city to city, guiding and uplifting countless people, yet would always make time for his family. One memory that remains especially close to his heart is from the time he secured his first job. His grandfather was overjoyed and immediately asked Anupam’s father to have a suit stitched for him as a gift a simple yet deeply meaningful expression of his love and pride.
The memory he cherishes most, however, is from the day of his marriage. P.P. Janardan Swami Kher was present to bless the newlyweds. He lovingly seated Anupam and Supriya beside him and shared invaluable guidance on marriage, family life, and righteous living words they continue to treasure and follow to this day. It was their final opportunity to be in his physical presence, as he attained his heavenly abode soon after their wedding. Though he departed from this world, his blessings, teachings, and divine grace remain a constant guiding light in their lives.
